IT Systems Support Analyst

Position Summary:

The IT systems support analyst is responsible for deploying, maintaining and supporting all internal services and customers in a wide spectrum of technologies.

What you will need to know:

  • Microsoft Server 2008/2012, Active Directory (Users, Groups, OU’s), DNS, DHCP, GPOs, WSUS, File & Share security. MCP certificate would be favorable.
  • SAN and NAS Technologies (iSCSI and NFS)
  • Windows vista/7/8
  • Exchange 20xx
  • Microsoft IIS
  • MySQL
  • Linux systems
  • VMware Vsphere
  • Basic knowledge of routing and switching

What we are looking for:

Someone with:

  • an interest and motivation to stay current on IT infrastructure solutions
  • An eye for detail who will upkeep documentation of all services and changes made.
  • An interest in finding new solutions and the drive to deploy them.
  • knowledge of backup processes and procedures

Someone who:

  • Will upkeep the continuity of IT operations for over 100 employees. 
  • Will install, configure, and upgrade operating systems and software as per regular maintenance or as a result of a new program requirement or for new hires.
  • Must possess excellent communication (written and verbal), time management, listening, analytical and people skills.
  • Has the ability to investigate and resolve technical challenges independently or with others
  • Will actively participate in monthly server maintenance windows

Working Conditions:

Work hours are 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. However, your duties will involve some outside of core hour's activity in order to complete maintenance windows.

You will be working within the network services department in a team of senior level IT specialists within the Infosat head office in Calgary
 

Installation Coordinator

The Installation Coordinator works with installers and customers to ensure the successful completion of satellite communications installation projects.  Scheduling installers and managing project resources to ensure the timely completion of projects is an important aspect of this position.  The Installation Coordinator will also be the liaison for customers and assist them with their questions and concerns.  This is an entry level technical project management position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the time schedule and resources for installation professionals to ensure a timely and successful installation for the customers.
  • Distribute and validate civil works requirements with customers.
  • Provide assistance to sales professionals and customers with technical support and expertise.
  • Track project costs for project billing.
  • Ensure project contracts and project documentation is complete and up-to-date.
  • Preconfigure and test satellite communication systems.

Position Requirements:

  • A Technical Diploma, preferably Electronics or Telecommunications and several years of related experience.
  • Experience in wireless communications/installations/network addressing would be a definite asset.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office applications including email, word and excel.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Understanding of Project Management Institute (PMI) practices is an asset.
  • Knowledge of WHMIS.

Product Manager

The Product Manager is responsible for all aspects of Infosat's new product development initiatives.​ The incumbent will build product offerings from existing ideas and assist in building new product offerings based on industry knowledge and contact with the existing client base and prospects.​

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to field deployment.
  • Specifymarket requirements for current and future product offerings by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers.​
  • Developing and implementing a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute.​
  • Analyzing potential partner relationships.

Education & Experience Required:

Experience and track record are usually considered more important than formal qualifications however candidates with a degree or diploma in marketing and/​or engineering from a recognized institution will be given higher consideration.​

  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to build relationships with clients, business partners, vendors and colleagues
  • Solid negotiation skills in order to help other stakeholders buy-in to the customer needs
  • Proven experience working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external business partners to successfully meet the needs of the customer
  • Ability to troubleshoot, solve problems and findsolutions
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented 
  • Strong project and timeline management skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point, and Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat Pro and the ability to learn, understand and use new unfamiliar in-house software products Infosat uses in-house (e.​g.​ Great Plains, Salesforce.​com).​ A solid understanding of graphic file types and compatibility.​
  • Enhances team productivity through information sharing, technical strengths and creative thinking
  • Capable of multi-tasking and enjoy working in an open, team oriented environment.​

  • Experience utilizing CRM applications

Working Conditions:

Work hours are 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.​ However, your duties may involve some outside of core hour's activity in order to meet specific deadlines, deal with a customer issue, or travel, as an example.​

You'll be office-based, but also spend some of your time visiting strategic clients, partners, and other branches of the organization.​ You will also need to attend conferences and trade shows.​
